STRYDE has agreed a deal to provide Ukraine’s leading and biggest private energy operator, DTEK Oil&Gas with 30,000 STRYDE Nodes™ and its Nimble System™ to acquire 3D and 2D seismic surveys across the country.
The new contract will see STRYDE deliver its portable and agile nodal system to support the operator with oil and gas exploration, enabling cost-effective operations with a quicker project turnaround.
Deployed to support national and global energy security through the enablement of new oil and gas exploration projects in Ukraine, STRYDE Nodes™ are designed to provide high-density and accurate data acquisition with minimal environmental disruption and reduced HSE risk, with fewer crew required for sensor deployment.
Mike Popham, STRYDE CEO said: “We are extremely honoured to have secured our first contract with DTEK Oil&Gas. With over 685,000 nodes delivered to the market in just three years, this sale is another crucial milestone in the solidification of STRYDE as the current market-leading provider of nodal seismic sensors by volume.”
Amie Foster, Global Account Manager, STRYDE commented: “With the global energy industry continuing to acknowledge the significance of local supply, we are proud to support new energy developments across Europe and maintain our track record for delivering the affordable, high-density seismic required to help our customers identify new energy reserves effectively.”
Ivan Gafych, Director of Exploration and Prospective Development, DTEK Oil&Gas said: “Ukraine has one of the greatest hydrocarbon resource potentials in Europe. To unlock it, DTEK is constantly exploring and developing deep and ultradeep targets with a focus on combined and non-structural traps. With most of the large fields in Europe already depleted and an ever-growing energy demand, the key to future production growth is advanced technologies that can rapidly identify new hydrocarbon opportunities, such as seismic nodes.”
Yevgeniy Solodkyi, Head of Exploration Department, DTEK Oil&Gas added:” We are consistently looking to utilise the latest technologies that will support and enable our projects. By harnessing the power of STRYDE’s small and lightweight nodes for our upcoming seismic surveys, we plan to get high-quality, dense data and de-risk our exploration program. Our seismic crew has already undergone STRYDE’s seismic system training at the company’s facility in Norway. With the system also prepared and ready for collection, we are geared up to start up operations in an impressive two weeks since contract signature.”
STRYDE’s technology has been deployed on a global scale, supporting over 185 projects, in 47 different countries, across multiple sectors, including oil and gas, mining, civil engineering, and emerging renewables markets.
